The Bachelor of Laws programme of the Bola Ajibola College of Law (BACOLAW), is structured as a single five-year programme at undergraduate level. The different areas of specialisation emphasised by the College are reflected in the three departments namely:
  • Department of Commercial and Property Law;
  • Department of Jurisprudence and International Law, and
  • Department of Islamic and Customary Law.
Specialisation in these areas shall be at the graduate level and continuing professional development. Each department is headed by distinguished law academics.

About BACOLAW

Crescent University Abeokuta was established as a private University by the Islamic Mission for Africa (IMA) in consonance with her doctrine and vision. The operating license from the Federal Government of Nigeria was obtained from the National University Commission in 2005. The mission of the University is “to ensure the delivery of university education in ways that recognise personal discipline and integrity and promote positive societal values.” In this regard, we are committed to total quality assurance consciousness in terms of staffing, teaching and the learning environment, equipment support base, infrastructure and super structural development.
The mission of the university is to evolve a unique element for the delivery of University education infused with total quality assurance in ways that will develop personal discipline and integrity and promote positive societal values. In other words, the programme is aimed at training immensely knowledgeable students to become legal practitioners with leadership potentials for the transformation of their society.
The vision of the University is to ensure the delivery of university education in ways that recognise personal discipline and integrity and promote positive societal values.
The motto of the University is “Knowledge and Faith.” This emphasizes the principle of the pursuit of academic excellence in a godly way as envisioned in the mission statement.
