Thirty-one Crescent University law students in 400 and 500 Levels of the university LL.B programme were successful in the recent Chartered Institute of Arbitrators of Nigeria (NICARB) Associate Membership examinations. They took the examination after undergoing intensive training in ADR and commercial arbitration organised by Bola Ajibola College of Law in collaboration with NICARB. The students will be inducted as Associates of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators of Nigeria at the professional membership induction ceremony in December 2019. In 2018, the first set of nineteen students of the university, including five four hundred level and 14 five hundred level students passed the examination. They were all inducted as Associate Members of the Institute at the December 2018 induction ceremony of the Institute in Lagos. After induction, the Associates are qualified to use the suffix “ACArb”. A great achievement indeed for each of the young and new generation Associate Arbitrators, even before obtaining and qualifying to use the prefix “LL.B (Hons)”. This is testimony to the constantly advancing scholarship and professionalism at BACOLAW.
