CRESCENT UNIVARSITY WINS PROFESSOR ISAAC O. AGBEDE NATIONAL ADVOCACY COMPETITION

Habeeb Feranmi Ganiyu flanked by  Professor Momodu Kassim-Momodu and Mrs Jaleelah Idris  Justus Adeyemi, Aishat Olubukola, Karamat Lawal, and Ahuoiza Alao, presenting the Prize  Plaque of the competition to Prof. Ibraheem Gbajabiamila.  

The Law Students Society of Nigeria, Bola Ajibola College of Law Branch, Crescent University, Abeokuta (LAWSAN, Crescent University)  won the 2025 Professor Isaac. O Agbede National Advocacy Competition which took place at Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State.  LAWSAN Crescent University, emerged the overall best ahead of Babcock University, University of Benin, University of Ibadan, Adeleke University, and Lead City University.

Professor Momodu Kassim-Momodu, the Dean of Law, Crescent University, accompanied by Mrs. Jaleelah Idris, the Director of Crescent University Law Clinic lead the students who earned the laurels to break the cheering news to Professor Ibraheem Gbajabiamila, the Vice Chancellor of the University.  Professor Kassim-Momodu also briefed the Vice Chancellor on achievements of many Crescent University law alumni in law practice in Nigeria, and in different parts of the globe, particularly in the United Kingdom, USA, and Egypt, after their post graduate studies.   

Habeeb Feranmi Ganiyu, the President of LAWSAN Crescent University who lead the prize-winning team to the competition explained to the Vice Chancellor how the Crescent University team went through the rigorous qualifying rounds, the semi-finals, and the final round to win the coveted prize.

The Vice Chancellor congratulated the students and Bola Ajibola College of Law for making the university proud again. He lauded the enviable achievements of the College which he said are the direct results of the hard work and effectiveness of staff of the College under the leadership of the Dean of Law.    

Members of the winning team are Habeeb Feranmi Ganiyu (500 level), Justus Adeyemi (400 level), Aishat Olubukola (400 level), Karamat Lawal (300 level) and Ahuoiza Alao (300 level).

The coaches for the team were Dr. Jimoh Ojo Saliu, Mujeeb Imran, Esq and Mrs Jaleelah Idris.
